Mixed Feelings | Dimkal

A special guest-mix series where DJs are invited to create a soundtrack for tomorrow's days. Next up: The Greek DJ Dimkal exploring soul music from all angles.

Every Mixed Feelings podcast is accompanied by a few questions that provide a little insight into the DJ and the mix they've prepared for us and for you.

Which feelings do we find bottled in this mix?

The "loud" side of this mix reflect the party time, while the "softer" choices suggest tenderness, hope and nostalgia.

What message does the music you play convey?

I always try to arouse any kind of feelings, recall memories and spread the love through my music.

How is the mix reflecting your current music taste?

This mix is a small part of my taste in music. I tried to give the audience a bit of my personal influences mixed together with songs/artists I'm currently in love with.

Who should release a new album/EP already?

Herbie Hancock.

What's magical about music?

It's that moment when you believe that knows lot of things about music, and then out of nowhere you listen to something new and understand that you know nothing about music yet.

What is your main source for finding new music?

Bandcamp, Discogs.

If the mix would be a soundtrack, what (kind of) movie/video/audio-visual content would support it best?

I think it would be a soundtrack for the next Tarantino movie!
