Which feelings do we find bottled in this mix?
I've tried to select tracks that gave me the immediate feeling to move. Groove will forever be the basis.
What message does the music you play convey?
In general I always try to keep the message as positive as possible. I've been in a happy place for some time now and I want my music and the music I select to be a reflection of that feeling.
Although I won't shy away from a political message, sort of like Bruno Furlan's 'No Justice No Peace' remix. Also you might hear some tracks celebrating the beauty of the female physique.
How is the mix reflecting your current music taste?
This mix is the perfect example of tracks I used as inspiration for my own productions, recently discovered "old new" music and the current sound I'm digging. Always loose, left-field, body moving, heavy groove and bass orientated music.
Who should release a new album/EP already?
Mo Kolours! His live performance changed the way I once thought about making music.
If the mix would be a soundtrack, what (kind of) movie/video/audio-visual content would support it best?
An inner city youth coming of age film most definitely. On the one hand showing the harsh reality of growing up in the inner city, while on the other displaying the beauty within that reality. The people, struggles, wins and losses, overcoming the challenges to find/ reach your potential.
Know yourself, love yourself, show empathy but keep your guard up. dance when you want to, cry when you want to, trust the cosmos and love to live LIFE!
