A special guest-mix series where DJs are invited to create a soundtrack for tomorrow's days. Next up: Soulful heat delivered to you by Amsterdam-based YŮSU, half of Chocolate Swirl.
Every Mixed Feelings podcast is accompanied by a few questions that provide a little insight into the DJ and the mix they've prepared for us and for you.
Which feelings do we find bottled in this mix?
Ease & warmth, love & confusion, relief & desire.
What message does the music you play convey?
See it as being in the eye of the storm. That through peace of mind, you're bringing clarity unto yourself.
How is the mix reflecting your current music taste?
The mix reflects that my music taste is all over the place. High and low, Up and down. Far and wide. Everywhere and nowhere.
Who should release a new album/EP already?
Right now I need Frank Ocean, Nightmares on Wax, AYLO, Kelela and Alewya to release a new album.
What's magical about music?
Everything, it lifts you up to the sky and takes you down to earth at the same time.
What is your main source for finding new music?
Streaming services, Bandcamp, Social Media, YouTube and its horrible algorithm, Soulseek, Soundcloud and friends.
If the mix would be a soundtrack, what (kind of) movie/video/audio-visual content would support it best?
Entergalactic by Kid Cudi.
